THE world’s largest meatless barbecue takes place tomorrow in Union Square Park.

Boca Foods is firing up 50 feet of grills to cook their soy-based products, including 1,000 pounds of mock burgers and 600 pounds of faux sausages.

“We want to set the record straight about the great taste of meat alternatives by setting a record of our own,” says Boca general manager Kevin Scott.

It’s free, but for every burger or sausage served – some by Curtis Aikens of the Food Network’s “Calling All Cooks” – Boca will donate $1 to Literacy Volunteers of America’s summer reading programs. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
