The TARDIS has landed in Central Park.

Here’s an early look at a scene being shot for the fifth episode of the upcoming Season 7 of BBC America’s cult sci-fi series, “Doctor Who.”

Series stars Matt Smith — the mysterious, time-traveling titular Doctor — and Karen Gillan, who plays the Doctor’s latest companion, Amy Pond, were spotted picnicking on the park’s famous rock formations.

Arthur Darvill, who plays Amy’s husband, Rory Williams, was also in the scene.

Eagle-eyed fans will note that the newspaper by Amy’s feet — the fictional New York Record — bears the headline “Detroit Lions Win Super Bowl.” Since the Lions have never made it to the big game, this scene is likely to be set in either the future or an alternate time period.
