DENNIS Rodman will guest star in an upcoming episode of “L.A. Doctors.”

The part-time L.A. Laker, husband of Carmen Electra and full-time headline maker, ended his unexplained leave of absence from the Lakers last week just in time to cut a deal with the show on which he will play himself or a fictional athelete like him on an upcoming episode of the CBS drama.

Rodman is the latest mega-star to be cast in the show in the medical series in what seems to be a successon ofstunts to boost the show’s mediocre ratings.

Robin Williams appeared in an episode last month and Vanessa Williams was recently cast as a regular on the show. Even basketball great, Reggie Miller has also put in a cameo appearence.

Despite the show’s star-power however, it has never broken into the Nielsen top 20.

The show (Mondays 10 p.m. on WCBS/Ch.2), debuted last fall and is about four doctors who rebel against corporate red-tape and HMOs to start their own practice where the care isn’t managed.
