The Professor Brothers

After writer-animator Brad Neely accidentally sold the rights to his classic YouTube music video “George Washington” for $250 (it’s a long story), he set out to create a new cartoon concept that would be even more memorable and beloved. The result was the Professor Brothers, a pair of drugged-out, profane, elbow-patched educators who fill their students’ minds with lies and insanity. The Bros’ microsite on SuperDeluxe.com is unquestionably the funniest thing on the Internet right now. If you’re new to the series (and don’t mind over-the-top adult language), start with “Bible History #1” – a lecture on just how depraved Sodom and Gomorrah really were.

On Wednesday, AMC aired “Julia Roberts: An American Cinematheque Tribute,” in which friends and co-stars celebrated her groundbreaking work in “Mystic Pizza” and “Flatliners.” Picture a Friar’s Club roast, with the insult comedy replaced by ass-kissing. Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks toasted Ms. Brockovich in person, but George Clooney decided to send regards taped in a public restroom in New Jersey. During his tribute, he’s interrupted by some lewd foot-signals from the next stall – and you’ll never guess who those stylish black loafers belong to.
