01/26/1995

It’s hard to explain, and explaining it makes it sound more stupid than it actually is, but here goes: Lasagna Cat is an elaborate tribute to cartoonist Jim Davis, in which old “Garfield” comic strips are given live-action re-

enactments. Then those re-

enactments are paired with songs that summarize the theme. In “01/26/1995,” Garfield drinks so much coffee that his eyes blow up, then the gag becomes a Garfield-themed video for Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without a Face.” Idiotic or brilliant – depending on your perspective.

Daditude – You Are Going To Puke

DadLabs.com

DadLabs looks, sounds and feels like an automotive pimp-out show, which is why it has succeeded in doing the impossible – making child care actually interesting for a male audience. Launched in 2004 by teacher-fathers Troy Lanier, Clay Nichols and Brad Powell, the Austin-based collective has logged over 250 Webisodes in which they discuss home-fixes (like how to fight your kid’s cold), review gear (like child bike-trailers), and get into some near-“Jackass”-caliber male stupidity (like mixing up rotten food in diapers). If you’re a new father, or plan on being one someday, bookmark this site and take comfort in the knowledge that you don’t have to relinquish your guy-ness just because the party’s over.
