Julian Assange is looking to drum up support for a flailing political campaign by appearing in a bizarre parody video.
The WikiLeaks founder makes a cameo in the latest video from Juice Rap News in an attempt to build buzz for his bid for a seat in the Australian Senate as a WikiLeaks party candidate.
In the clip, Assange ditches his trademark suit for a tank top and ’80s metal-style wig. He also gets in on the performance, singing a WikiLeaks-themed parody of John Farnham’s “You’re the Voice.”
The off-color video is unlikely to give Assange’s candidacy much of a boost, but considering some of the other obstacles his campaign faces – like being confined in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London – it certainly won’t make things worse.
