WOR Radio (710 AM) won’t carry the Nets after this season, the station announced yesterday.

“We have enjoyed a wonderful and profitable relationship with the New Jersey Nets since 1996,” said WOR VP/GM Bob Bruno.

“Nevertheless, given the . . . increasingly competitive nature of talk radio today, we have decided that . . . it is better for us to concentrate our programming efforts on building and branding our increasingly popular evening lineup of premiere talk personalities . . . ”
