WASHINGTON — Americans are as confused as ever about ObamaCare.
People don’t know whom to trust for information, and many can’t separate real provisions from fake ones, says a Consumer Reports survey released Thursday.
Among its findings:
- 48 percent say the law establishes a government-run health plan. Just 21 percent correctly say it doesn’t.
- 30 percent believe it creates government “death panels.” Just 27 percent know that to be false.
- 36 percent believe it gives the government authority to control the doctor you see, while just 24 percent realize the government has no such authority.
About 38 percent surveyed said they had become less informed about the law over the past month, while 35 percent felt they knew more about it.
