Washington regulators on Tuesday once again took aim at the $40 billion nutritional supplements industry.

The Justice Department and several other agencies unveiled over 100 criminal and civil actions — whacking the makers of pills and drinks that target dieters, bodybuilders and folks looking for a little something extra in the sack by accusing them of fraud.

One company, Dallas-based USPlabs, imported dietary supplements sold under the Jack3d and OxyElite Pro brands and passed them off as having natural plant extracts when in fact they used synthetic stimulants, it is alleged.

The fraudulent products cause liver toxicity, the feds allege.

Last year, USPlabs and GNC Holdings, which sold the supplements, settled class-action lawsuits involving those products, according to published reports.
