How’s the air up there? Rarefied, indeed, for one lucky big-and-tall air traveler.

A man who was too tall for the seats he booked with extra legroom was kicked off the plane, then reassigned to first class on a later flight — the first time the towering passenger had ever been squeezed out by an airline, South West News Service reported.

For a recent flight from North Carolina to Georgia, Beau Brown was booked in an exit-row seat. At 7-feet 1-inch, Brown always took up the exit row seat to ensure he’d have plenty of legroom.

But when the Atlanta resident boarded, he found his frame had outsized the small, domestic aircraft.

“My knees touched the seats in front of me, and I was pined in, unable to sit down or get up,” he told SWNS.

As a result, the unidentified airline reportedly rebooked Brown on another flight later that same day — and threw in a first-class upgrade as consolation for his inconvenience.

Brown, 29, shared his experience in a video, which now has more than 11.5 million views.

He called the experience “pretty sweet,” despite its short-lived duration. “The flight was only 40 minutes, but it was a very comfortable 40 minutes compared to what would have been plain torture,” he said.

In the past, Brown’s extraordinary stature has forced him into some very uncomfortable positions on planes, including one flight to Los Angeles last year in which all the seats with more legroom were unavailable.

“My knees had to be out in the aisle the whole time,” he explained. “My legs were being hit by stewardesses and their carts and people were complaining about me fidgeting and knocking their seats — it was chaos.”

Brown, a cinematographer, takes it all on his lofty chin, by sharing the highs — and lows — of exceptional height with his fans, including 1.6 million on TikTok, where he’s seen several such videos go viral, including one about the struggles of too-small hotel beds.

And he’s used to strangers approaching him in public with questions, or asking for photos. “I love standing out from the crowd and owning my appearance,” he said.

That self-assuredness comes at a high price, however — in custom-made threads and size 18 shoes to fit Brown’s uncommon physique. “At times it’s frustrating when I end up spending excessive amounts on regular everyday items.”

He’s unmissable in public, but average at home among family, all of whom are “big,” said Brown, including his 6-foot-1 wife, Sara, 26. “They know the struggles that come with being tall.”

They’re also supportive of his internet fame, which has afforded Brown more flexibility in life, such as a new, appropriately sized apartment.

“Before I could afford my own place, renting was a nightmare, as I’d be constantly ducking all the time because of the low ceilings,” he said.

Now, he’s got a “specially constructed” condo with 12-foot ceilings and taller thresholds so can finally “fully relax at home in a comfortable environment.”

With his newfound following, he hopes to earn the top spot as social media’s go-to tall guy.

“My dream is to have a travel show that shows the complications of being 7 feet tall around the world — that would be awesome!”
