In the past decade, there’s been a spike in the demand for exotic produce.
“People want to try something they have seen on television or want to get the authentic flavors of what they’ve tasted during their travels,” Karen Caplan, president of Frieda’s specialty produce, tells The Post. “The supply chain continues to improve, and we can now get exotic fruits almost year-round from all around the world.”

1. Pineberry

2. Carambola

3. Strasberry

5. Ugli fruit
