Some heroes fly — others drive big blue vans.
An Amazon delivery driver in Lake City, Florida is being praised for her heroic actions after saving the life of three puppies trapped in a burning home.
The unnamed good Samaritan noticed smoke pouring from a house while delivering packages, and immediately called 911.
She had called first responders just in time for firefighters to arrive and extinguish the flames, and rescue the three Boston Terrier puppies.
“Thank you to the Amazon driver who noticed the smoke and called 911,” the department said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
“Since the homeowner was not at home at the time, she saved the home and the puppies‘ lives!” the announcement read.
Columbia County Fire Rescue said that emergency staff at the scene revived and treated the pups for smoke inhalation. Meanwhile, firefighters were able to keep the blaze contained to a single room, thanks to the quick response of the Amazon driver.
“Thank you for saving my babies,” wrote homeowner Lauren Sutton below the announcement on Facebook.

“Many thanks and appreciation!!! Those are my daughter’s dogs that we love very much,” wrote Lisa Ann Dunn. She continued to share that the pets are “doing well” and “seem to be stabilizing” at the hospital despite suffering “significant lung damage.”
“Thank you will never be enough,” Dunn added.
Dozens rejoiced the mystery driver, calling her a “hero.”
Said one, “Thank you for being at the right place and at the right time.”
