There are some legal tips you shouldn’t object to, according to a lawyer on TikTok.

A user known as @thelawyerangela told her
1 million followers that when you get arrested there is the possibility of being released from all charges.

According to her TikTok, “There’s a window of time between you getting arrested and the DA filing charges.”

If you hire a private lawyer, they have the ability to talk to the district attorney before charges are filed while public defenders aren’t even assigned until after charges are filed.

“This is where wealthy people with good lawyers have a huge leg up,” Angela said.

She mentioned the importance of having a good lawyer who negotiates for you because there are instances when the district attorney can be convinced to file no charges at all.

Angela said that in the case of being arrested, your priority should be to talk to a lawyer as soon as possible.

The clip has received over 100,000 views and over 11,000 likes.

This led to the comments section bashing the legal system in the US because only those with money would be able to afford a private attorney.
