Here’s a Valentine’s Day treat if you can barely stand your ex.
A wildlife center in Oregon ran an offer allowing lonely lovers to sponsor salmon in their ex’s name — and have them fed to bears.
The $20 donation program was launched on Jan. 31 by The Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center.
“Want to send a different kind of message this Valentine’s Day?” the submission form reads. “Check out our Catch & Release option, which allows you to get a little revenge on your ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend!
“Let our 1000 pound brown bears tear into your ex,” another quip states.
According to the website, donors received pictures of “Kodi and Yak destroying your ex” and a “special certificate” to commemorate the carnage.
Revenge was in the air — demand was so high that the wildlife center stopped accepting submissions for “Catch & Release.”
However, “A Great Catch” is still available, which serves bears a succulent salmon “in your sweetheart’s honor.”
The El Paso Zoo is sponsoring a similar program, which lets jilted lovers see cockroaches get fed to meerkats in their ex’s name.
