An aspiring young composer killed in a freak farm accident will have his music played by a professional orchestra at his funeral on Sunday.
Kyan Pennell, 12, was crushed to death at his family’s property in Queensland, Australia, last week after he became wedged between a trailer and a gate.
The youngster was a classical music enthusiast who taught himself to play both Chopin and Beethoven by watching YouTube tutorials.
Pennell recently began composing his own original piece of music, which was only partially completed before he died.
His mother, Amanda Brierley, had no idea her son had started on the piece, discovering the composition in a notebook after his tragic death.

Brierly shared a photo of the piece of music to social media, accompanied by several videos of the boy playing on his piano.
The heartbreaking posts were seen by musicians around the world, many of whom have now recorded tribute versions of Pennell’s original song.

The organization’s principal cellist, Hyung Suk Bae, said he sat down at his own piano last week to play Pennell’s tune.
“Sometimes music just talks to you, and I started playing it actually slow, and it sounded just beautiful and pure, and nice and simple,” he stated.
