Van Leeuwen Ice CreamTamara BeckwithNow the near-ubiquitous Brooklyn-based Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream is opening a new location at 448 Amsterdam Ave. on the Upper West Side.
The 1,000-square-foot ice cream mecca is in a space formerly occupied by Cozy Cuts. The store will occupy 700 square feet on the main floor of a five-story building with an additional 300 square feet in the basement. It is slated to open this spring.
Mark Tergesen and Joe Italiaander of ABS Partners Real Estate represented the landlord while Jaime Schultz of Lee & Associates represented the tenant.
The family-run ice cream company recently launched new seasonal flavors, including two that are vegan.
