This shutterbug is making waves.

Photographer Marck Botha is a pro when it comes to capturing unique pictures of the ocean.

“I always have so much fun being in the water,” the 29-year-old told Barcroft Media. “I think I am more excited and have the most enjoyment when the swells are big and the adrenaline kicks in.”

The South African native snapped one shot of a wave perfectly framing his hometown of Durban shortly before the water came crashing down.

“I am always watching the weather and swell charts looking for perfect conditions, and when it all comes together there is nothing that is going to keep me from jumping in the water and trying to get the perfect shot,” he said.

The weather doesn’t always cooperate — something he learned the hard way the time he was dragged into the water and onto a jagged coral reef.
