The driver of this car is the luckiest person in the world right now. This tyre detached from an HGV on the M6 at jct28, crossed the central barrier & struck an oncoming vehicle. How they got it to the shoulder and got out is beyond us. Thankfully minor injuries. #T1TacOpspic.twitter.com/Z6chvf7ubD

A motorist cheated death in England this week, escaping with only minor injuries after a detached truck wheel tore through his car’s windshield and roof, police said.
The Lancashire Road Police called the driver “the luckiest person in the world right now” in a tweet that included startling photos showing the destruction caused by the tire.
According to police, the motorist was traveling along England’s M6 motorway on Monday when the wheel of a large flatbed truck detached from the vehicle, “crossed the central barrier” and struck the oncoming car.
Somehow, the driver of the mangled car managed to pull it over and exit nearly unscathed.
“How they got it to the shoulder and got out is beyond us. Thankfully minor injuries,” the Lancashire Road Police said of the driver in the tweet.
In another photo the department tweeted, the tire that went through the roof can be seen resting directly on a child’s car seat in the back seat of the car.
“The driver’s young son wanted to come out with Dad. Thankfully he was unable to take him, but it doesn’t bear thinking about what would have happened had his son been in this car seat,” police tweeted.
