After nearly a decade, an Alabama family was reunited with a member of their pack.

Lloyd Goldston lost his beloved boxer, Boozer, nine years ago as he was moving from Tennessee to Alabama.

But last weekend, Goldston’s family had a tearful reunion with Boozer after a Denver shelter scanned his microchip and realized he already had a forever home.

“We never forgot him,” Goldston said, adding that he kept a photo album of the pooch.
