Metallics, in all shades of shine, lit up the red carpet at last night’s Golden Globes.

Silver! Gunmetal! Bronze, oh my! And for “Fifty shades of Grey” actress Dakota Johnson, the girl who won the part, it was her moment to glimmer. In her first major award outing, she left no doubt what movie she’s starring in by way of a sinfully good mixed metallics number by Chanel Haute Couture.

But Jennifer Lopez will not be outshone. She worked her caped Zuhair Murad harder than anyone. Though you have to hand it to her, at 45 she’s the diva of double-sided tape.

Julianne Moore, meanwhile, shimmered just a little more brightly (and in a less Vegas showgirl way) in a silver sequin Givenchy Haute Couture with a feather hem.

But it was Jessica Chastain who stole the sexy honors (sorry JLo) in her down-to-there modern mermaid pleated Versace.

While the vamps worked overtime, there was a whole contingent looking forward to the sweetness and innocence of spring. Lupita Nyong’o wore an explosion of florals in a Giambattista Valli couture gown that sprouted lavender blossoms.

Amy Adams and Naomi Watts both seemed to be feeling the Easter egg season in a hyacinth blue dream by Versace and a Gucci Peep-yellow strapless gown.

Ruth Wilson went for a stately ’60s Prada column in grass green that was more fashion (or First Lady) than Hollywood (and the fashion police might make her pay for that).
