Mixmaster Anna Sui delivered a killer collection for spring. It was her enthusiastic crowd that set the tone; the cast of quirky, colorfully dressed characters included an actual cowboy dressed in black alligator pants and a red pleather button down.

Models flashed toothy smiles and practically skipped down the runway in a bevy of playful rompers, flouncy skirts, embellished tunics and chiffon dresses. Emblazoned with horses, pomegranates, butterflies, pinwheels, rainbows, stars, pom-poms and more, Sui’s ready-to-wear was presented in an assortment of eye-popping colors, including lavender, plum, sea green, marigold, turquoise, and a pretty aqua blue.

Giant plate necklaces took center stage on more than a few runways, but Sui (so far) has done them best. Layered strings of sparkly, colorful beads hugged the model’s necks – and the matching armbands are a must-have come spring.

But fashion wasn’t the only statement Sui made for spring, as she and the publicists who manned the doors were outfitted in the same “Save the Garment Center” t-shirts that Nanette Lepore and her crew rocked earlier in the day.
