PETA wore him down.
After almost a year of discussions between the animal rights group and the American sportswear designer, Tommy Hilfiger just announced he’s joining Miuccia Prada, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Kenneth Cole and banning fur from all his future collections.
âTommyâs anti-fur policy will spare countless animals from becoming fashion victims,â says PETA Senior Vice President Dan Mathews, in a statement released by the group.
Stella McCartney, Marc Bouwer, Betsey Johnson, Vivienne Westwood, Comme des Garçons, Limited Brands, J.Crew, Ann Taylor, and Jones Apparel Group are all also anti-fur.
