In life, there are times when it all comes together and it just works perfectly. For Mark Badgley and James Mischka, spring 2010 is their season.

Their collection, which can sometimes be uneven or not quite perfectly fitting, is past that phase and for spring is really quite pretty. Colors are restrained — just black, white, pimento red and a little lilac. Some of the best bits were the w-i-d-e leg trousers, the gorgeous and full skirted clover dress and skirt and the high-collared black shantung gown which is destined to become a classic.

The men deserve an award for their amazing jewelry. Big and bold, the necklaces and bibs are sparkley statement pieces. Especially clever are the sea life themed necklaces with blinged out starfish, clam shells and coral.
