Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld marked a first with Thursday’s opening of Chanel at Barneys New York.

The “ephemeral boutique” — located on the sixth floor at 660 Madison Ave. through April 22 — marks the first time the department store is offering ready-to-wear, handbags and costume jewelry from Chanel.

The luxury goods on offer hail from the beach-themed Spring/Summer 2019 Ready-to-Wear collection designed by the late Lagerfeld.

There is also an installation on the first floor, where the legendary Barneys windows have been taken over by rich sand dunes — an obvious nod to the showstopper runway set that featured a man-made beach with models walking on sand and water.

This pair of fashion power houses hosted a launch party Wednesday night to celebrate with brand super fans, including influencers like Leandra Medine from Man Repeller and Nicole Warne, who is featured in Barney’s online editorial for the collaboration.

Here are some of the most covetable pieces from the collection.
