This was the perfect kick-off to Spring 2009 Fashion Week. The collection – as expected – was pretty, soft, and well-edited. The designer worked in mostly neutral palettes (mauves, whites, and grays), but surprised the jam-packed tent with hits of fuchsia, orange and teal frocks.
Known for its consistent delivery of romantic, coolly draped dresses, RUNWAY definitely didn’t disappoint. But when Azria sent a jumpsuit down as the second look, he demonstrated his range, along with his ability to make a geeky trend look cool – possibly even chic. And that’s no easy feat, trust. Hats off to Azria for another reliable and easy-to-wear collection.
