Not sure if anyone else is as excited as I am about the 700-acre L.L. Bean theme park opening in Freeport, Maine, in 2010.
The companny announced plans yesterday to develop a plot of land by their Freeport flagship into an outdoor-activity theme park where visitors will be able to snowshoe, hike, and watch things like seals.
(Wait, what about the rides?)
Anyway, I’m pretty psyched. Just think of the possibilities — Will Bean-land have a Main Street USA a la Disney World? What will the souvenir shops sell — floral-print turtlenecks and campus backpacks? Will James Earl Jones narrate “The L.L. Bean Story” ride?
Can’t wait. Plotzing everywhere.
