Exquisite basics were aplenty yesterday at the presentation of Behnaz Sarafpour’s Fall 2011 line. By basics, I mean basics with a twist, of course, as in perfectly tailored pieces with slight details.

The collection was an edited palette of black, grey, taupe and stormy blue used to create what was probably two of her strongest items, tailored coats and distinctive dresses.

While most pieces subtly caught the eye, if you look closer you will realize the draw of her designs.
