Jeffrey Monteiro delivered a strong statement for Bill Blass, further pushing his covert recovery of the iconic brand.

The collection revealed a vignette of regal modernity, opening with a string of strong tailored jackets and ending on a series of beautiful body con column dresses. The colors were rich — blue, red, peacock green — with the occasional houndstooth, crystal and gold embellishment for dramatic effect. Albeit everything looks good on Joan Smalls, but even off a model’s frame the well-designed pieces seem destined for greatness. Just ask Julia Stiles, who sat front row nodding in approval.
