Carolina Herrera took flight with her stunning spring collection. For the ever-chic lady who lunches, there were ’40s-inspired canary and sparrow-printed chiffon day dresses, taupe embroidered cropped jackets and silky pleated pants.

For night, Herrera went deco with white beaded gowns, crystal-embellished geometric-lace dresses and a surprisingly sexy silver one-shoulder number that looked covered up from the front, but the rear revealed sliced cut-outs down to the derriere. It was done in the most tasteful manner — after all, this is a brand that inspires ladylike chic.

We could easily see Herrera’s front-row fangirl, Renee Zellweger, swanning around in one of the those fabulous canary yellow or grass green gazar gowns next awards season.
