CATHERINE MALANDRINO SHOW
Catherine Malandrino believes in a woman’s legs. Showing a collection that was 95 percent dresses (there were a pair of genie pants and a tuxedo, and a smattering of skirts), the thing for fall is the “tunique.”
It is a blouson-shaped frock that is super short, and this Frenchwoman interpreted it in shades of purple and darker, with placed smocking. We bet that most but the extremely daring will be wearing the “Tunique” with skinny pants.
Malandrino also loves the drape of silk jersey and interpreted it short and long in drapey, cascading iterations. She mentioned “the rhythm of dancing legs” in her program notes and we certainly get it.
