Catherine Malandrino is having a highly decorative spring.

Every little last piece of her collection was decorated with pleating, beading, oversized florets – you name the trim, it was there. Interestingly, the results were not gaudy or overdone, but really very pretty. Beware, these are not pieces for the meek – choose the wrong one, and these clothes will be wearing you.

Trousers and skirts were extremely high-waisted, blouses were generally fitted and dresses, particularly the tulle jersey group, were draped to accentuate feminine curves. What a nice change.
