Pop star Joss Stone has been a fixture on the fashion week scene so far, walking the runway (barefoot) for Heart Truth Red Dress and taking in the BCBG, Baby Phat and Rock & Republic shows. The Brit beauty chattered away about Britney Spears: “I feel bad for her; we all have issues.” As for Amy Winehouse, Stone says, “She’s not worried about what anyone else thinks, which is sometimes not good.”

Speaking of not worrying about what anyone else thinks, Koi sushi and Chambord cocktails helped keep the claws at bay between Stone and Christina Milian in the W Jet Lounge before the Rock & Republic show. Last year, Stone went on-the-record to Giant Magazine calling Milian and other singers “just highly paid strippers.” Apparently the two share an ex in common. Stone later retracted the slanderous statements in Complex Magazine. Alas, the ladies exchanged pleasantries (and even posed for a few photos, inset), then went their separate ways to sit a foot away from one another in the crowded lounge. Awkward.

* “Grey’s Anatomy” doctor Ellen Pompeo also made a (fashion) house call to the W Jet Lounge, where she and husband Chris Ivery nibbled on sushi rolls from Koi.

* Sophia Bush was beside herself about the new Herve Leger line. “This man is, like, ridiculous!” she exclaimed while hugging the legendary designer multiple times. “My heart is palpitating. It was just stunning. So chic, so elegant, so sexy. Usually one thing catches my eye, but I saw seven dresses I want.” Bush also confessed that she’s a make-up fiend, and admired the MAC products used on the runway models. “I have more MAC eye shadow palettes that I care to admit,” she gushed. Valentine’s day, however, will be a low-maintenance affair: “I’ll probably hole up with my girlfriends, watch a movie and order take-out.”

Rose McGowan rocked a brand new strawberry blonde ‘do, as well as a very sexy black and white Herve Leger mini-dress to the designer’s highly anticipated show. “In this dress you can’t slouch,” noted the actress, referring to her heaving bosom. “I also loved the wedding dress,” said McGowan, who’s engaged to director Robert Rodriguez. Something to be borrowed, perhaps?

* “Gossip Girl” Taylor Momsen, merely fourteen made her fashion week debut at Erin Fetherston wearing an age-appropriate cocktail dress by the designer. The young actress clearly possesses some style ingenuity of her own: “Two minutes before walking the carpet at the upfronts for ‘Gossip Girl,’ one of my straps broke. So I cut the other one and made it a tube top.” Other ingenues at Fetherstone included Anne Hathaway, Brittany Snow and socialites Ali Hilfiger and Arden Wohl.

* Amy Smart, another fashion week first-timer, was seated front row at both Herve Leger and Diane Von Furstenberg. Smart said she loves DVF because her dresses “flatter all body types.” When asked if she’d be watching the shows or the Super Bowl, Smart said it was a no-brainer: “Oh, fashion – definitely.”

* Ellen Barkin, on the other hand, was in a wry mood backstage at DVF. “What’s the Super Bowl?” she asked. “Is that something I should put my salad in?” All joking aside, when asked who she thought would win, the actress apologetically replied, “I think it’s going to be that other team; the one that’s not from New York.” Way to support the home team, Ellen. Meanwhile, Just before the show began, Robert Verdi sat down to interview Susan Sarandon in the front row and -splat! – his seat collapsed. Luckily, Verdi wasn’t hurt.
