Chaiken designers Jeff Mahshie and Julie Chaiken really (in ital.) believe in gray for fall. The collection was a quarter of the way over before anything else was introduced, the predominant hue being shades of green.

While this company has made a fortune selling pants and sweaters, there were not so many of either evident on the runway. Instead, they chose to make a statement with dresses. Cashmere, flannel, silk, and georgette were fashioned into wonderfully body-skimming numbers.

Trench coats, a huge trend for fall, were interpreted in a flowing sweater knit. And the blouse was given new life with a really cool cross tie bow treatment.

And in a lackluster season for celebs, this show was a draw for Cynthia Nixon, Mary Louise Parker, Juliana Margolies, Kelly Rowland, Kimberly Guilfoyle and Patricia Heaton.
