For her spring 2009 show – her first inside the Bryant Park tents – Charlotte Ronson kept it all in the family. Big brother Mark spun the jams, little sis Anabelle walked the runway and big sis Samantha brought sapphic superbestie LiLo and sat her right next to Mama Ronson.

There were clothes. Sure. But they became increasingly more difficult to focus on with Linday’s assets on full display in a teeny, tiny mini. Other famous front-row friends included model Jessica Stam, famous son Sean Lennon, “Gossip Girl” Jessica Szohr and Corey Kennedy.

Ronson’s collection was primarily ill-fitting pants, whatever gray sweaters thrown off the shoulder, drapey cotton jersey dresses with exposed zippers and a puzzling selection of washed out animal prints. While neither refreshing nor inventive, a feminine floral one shoulder ruffle mini was a highlight in a sea of forgettable gingham blouses and bubble hems.

We know, we know. Miranda Priestly said it best “Florals? For spring?

Groundbreaking.”
