“Project Runway” designer Christian Siriano has continued to refine his collections for the last two seasons, and this was his best yet. The palate of icy grays, blacks, graphic prints and merlots felt cohesive, and a slick, almost black lipstick added an edge to the clothes’ overall aesthetic.

Siriano paraded his regular repertoire of sheath cocktail dresses with crumb catcher details, some with capes attached. Textured cropped motorcycle jackets were layered over a graphic flowing mini dress and topped a gorgeous pleated multi-layered cream ball gown. A knee-length skirt was done with in an embossed snakeskin, while a vampy chic leather halter ball gown rocked the runway.

At the end, he returned to his tried and true trumpet gowns, which looked more artful and less art school than his previous red carpet offerings. Newly-divorced and Siriano show fixture Heidi Klum skipped this one, but she was replaced by adorable Gabby Sidibe, who sat next to (also recently divorced) Mena Suvari and Leigh Lezark.
