Cynthia Rowley’s fall collection was a riot of metallics shown with black tights with a multi-colored metallic shimmer. The mainly dresses and skirts were short and sassy, combined with jackets, sweaters and blouses, the sleeper hit of the season.

It was an incredibly futuristic looking collection, but not one without humor. In a move that had the audience stymied, the final outfits of this presentation had some sort of a braid theme. First there was a dress with a trompe l’oeil braid painted on it, then two with jeweled braids as necklaces and then the final outfit, accessorized by a model who was sporting a braid that was so long that 10 models helped carry it out. Odd, huh?

Rowley is a big one for filling her audience with famous friends and family including her husband Bill Powers and toddler daughter Gigi, Molly Shannon, Alan Cumming, Alexandra Kerry, Tim Gunn, David Bartlett and Tatum O’Neill.
