Sharp-eyed shopper Raakhee got quite the find this week for Haute List. The dress on the left, modeled by Joey, is $48 at Urban Outfitters. And the exact same frock, worn by Jocelyn on the right, is only $17 at Strawberry. And the middle dress, on Candice, has the same print (though a slightly different design) and goes for $32 at Century 21. So what’s up? Turned out they all come from the same company — Star of India — which is either doing some double dealing, or else Urban Outfitters is making a much bigger profit. Lesson learned: It pays to shop around.
