Understated.

It’s rare when you can size a designer’s collection up with one word, but when the shoe fits, why not? Certainly, there are words we could use, like posh or plush, but the road always leads back to “understated.”

Lam chose to work in a muted palette that worked back to the skins and furs he used seamlessly. Beige, taupe, black, smoke, seaweed and gold created a complementary look. Fabrics were artfully draped to create very pretty, very modern dresses and skirts. Particularly good looking were the draped gold panne velvet pieces. How did he get that fabric to behave that way?
