When it comes to spring fashion, we all know the drill: lots of white, a plethora of pastels and florals, florals, florals.

But when Marc Jacobs bid adieu to Louis Vuitton after his 16-year tenure, he did so by going back to black. His spring 2014 Paris show was anything but a sad affair as the models made for delightfully dark, decadent showgirls.

Other designers apparently got the memo, and served up black in endless variety — textured, embellished and even accented with tiny bits of color. Here are 10 of the best new LBDs.
