Dance your cares away, kids! Soon we’ll all be dressed like characters from “Fraggle Rock.”
That’s right. The Paris shows wrapped Wednesday, meaning fashion month — the nonstop runway circuit that began in New York in early February — is finally over. After countless collections, it’s quite clear that, above all else, designers looked to Jim Henson’s pint-size, fuzzy-wuzzy puppet humanoids for inspiration.
And why wouldn’t they? Fraggles are cute, love music, and live next to an oracular heap of trash. Sounds like city folk to me. Besides, as this grueling winter has proved, nothing can assuage polar chill and seasonal depression like lots of fur in Technicolor.
