Diane von Furstenberg
Diane Von Furstenberg is always one of the biggest shows of New York Fashion Week — and for good reason, with hard-edged feminine designs on the runway mixed with bold face names lining the front row, which included everyone from Barbara Walters to Anna Wintour and staff.
Staying with the base of what she knows best, which is how to dress a woman, Diane started the show with an array of designs in shades of black, white, crimson and gold. This time she mixed go-to styles with items influenced by gauchos: a fringed leather jacket and vest, red tunic and even gaucho hats. Then the show moved into bold monochromatic outfits in turquoise, blue, purple, fuchsia and even sky blue — all topped with perfectly tailored coats, sure to be on every DVF girl’s fall must have list.
Never one to leave out a great pattern or dress, many graphic and abstract patterns were scattered throughout the show, all complementing each outfit. The show ended with solid liquid sequin dresses, adding a sparkle to everyone’s eye.
