The who:
PR girls got chatty with senior menswear editors and everyone else flaunting suits with GQ-approved New Balance sneakers.

The what:
Sportswear-infused city separates peppered (and in some cases, drenched) in primary color were layered nicely on models, while the rest hung on racks around a well-lit industrial space. PURE DKNY, an earthy-looking diffusion line offered great daytime options for nonplussed personalities. They kept the suit-n-tie section in the back, with good reason.

The highlight:
The ubiquitous baseball jacket didn’t look last season on Donna Karan’s clean modern man.

The takeaway:
All the DKNY codes were there, so while it’s unclear how many men will be rushing to snag that canary yellow biker off the rack, a step outside the black box deserves an A for effort.
