Ditching her drape-y, desert-hued threads from last season, Donna Karan imbued her fall namesake collection with the purest of pearlized hues. Working in silvers, mauves and touches of blush, Karan demonstrated a mastery of tailoring and draping with her whisper-thin blouses, billowy yet still slim pants (accented with a fur-trimmed glove), body-hugging pencil skirts, and tightly-draped jersey dresses.

Overall, the vibe was very lady, and if there was any doubt, chiffon headscarves accented with pearls, fur-trimmed gloves and tool-box-inspired charcoal handbags topped off looks, giving them the complete, uptown woman package.

Karan finished with a series of tulle and chiffon evening gowns: Some were floaty, some were structured and some were lightly finished with pearl and diamante embroidery, but they were the perfect ending for this dreamy collection.
