The What:

The things that inspire a designer will surprise you and for Donna Karan’s Spring 2014, a search for a scarf is where it all supposedly started and lead to yet another luxuriously organic collection. Faded, weathered blues and putty tones appeared in solids and geometric prints with Indian influences. Just like nature, there were a variety of textures: leather jackets, hand embroidered skirts and stretch silk georgette and charmeuse in what everyone can only think of as signature Donna Karan dresses.

The Highlight:

An amazing silk tussah hand embroidered and cut work skirt that’s craftsmanship would make anyone swoon.

The Takeaway:

The fabrics may be faded, but Donna Karan’s talent has stood the test of time.
