Inspired by artist Aubrey Beardsley’s graphics and Daniel Egneus’ moody illustrations, Doo.Ri’s latest collection was anchored by drapey neutrals and punctuated with plum purples, soft black and white prints and the odd hit of acid in the form of a yellow blouse and tangerine dress. The Chelsea gallery show kicked off with a white poplin tuxedo shirtdress and veered into deceptively soft parachute trousers and jackets. A gorgeous leather-trimmed khaki-pleated Grecian gown was delicately tailored and provided a dramatic finale.
