Polka dots, color blocks and butterflies festooned a winsome array of shift dresses and sheer fabrics. Models posed stadium style in a white atrium as the DJ spun oldies jive enough for even the youngest of fashion fans to enjoy. And let’s not forget the dos: French twists and shellacked side ponytails were the order of the night. Groundbreaking fashion, perhaps not. But to make one feel nostalgic for a time never experienced is a triumph in its own right.
