GENERRA SHOW
Stripes, plaid and an assortment of mod meets lower east side hipster looks made their way into Generra’s fall collection of trapeze jackets, tunics and short knit dresses.
This line, which is designed by the former head of design for Gap and Theory, was also heavy on layering, pairing an oversized short sleeve jacket with a long cashmere hoodie and opaque tights or combining an oversized felt coat with a striped tunic sweater, tie neck t-shirt and wool mini.
The easy, comfortable pieces like merino knit dresses, shawl collar vests and sweater coats and hooded cardigans are the kind of things you’d expect to see on young hollywood chicettes like mandy moore, hillary duff and kristen bell.
Plus the forgiving silhouettes like loose felt jackets, wool tunics and cashmere baloon sleeve sweaters are a welcome shift from unforgiving skinny pants and too tight sweater dresses.
