Camel coats are to winter what floral prints are to spring and nautical stripes are to summer: an annual, always-welcome trend. This year, however, has seen a new twist as the coats take on oversize silhouettes that give them a two-for-one boyfriend and blanket-coat punch.

Celebrities, of course, have embraced the billowing style, making the oversize camel coat one of their go-to outerwear looks of the season.

Singer Kelly Rowland draped an ankle-length Cyclas cashmere coat over wide-leg trousers for a head-to-toe oversize ensemble; petite actress Christina Ricci cinched a trench-style number for a throwback effect; and Kate Beckinsale wore a robe-like version over a silk pink pajama set.
