Tents, clothing lines, sweltering heat, humidity, overcrowded conditions with no air conditioning, no water, and with only the ground to sit on — Bryant Park this afternoon was not unlike (please excuse the flippancy of this reference) a fashion refugee camp. Conditions improved as shows stretched into evening hours, but seriously, what’s up this year? In years past, the air was reliable, there were bottles of water at every turn, and loads of benches and chairs in the entryway where you could sit and rest your tired tootsies.
