OVER the past couple of years, supermodel and raw-food evangelist Carol Alt has turned into somewhat of a prolific author, with a series of “cook”-books and chick lit under her belt.
We’re big fans of her personable writing style and no-holds-barred honesty about her own struggles with weight and beauty, especially in relation to her fashion career — lots of these sentiments are channeled into Mac Croft, the young model protagonist in Alt’s fiction series. “Model, Incorporated” ($13.99 at bookstores), the highly anticipated sequel to Alt’s first novel, “This Year’s Model,” hit shelves this week and follows Croft on her continuing adventure up the modeling ladder and onto Hollywood’s red carpets.
